We want every order from Awuf Afro Store to be exactly what you were hoping for. Because we sell different kinds of products, our returns policy works a little differently depending on what you purchased. Please jump to the section that applies to your order:


Non-Food Items

If you have purchased clothing, cookware, accessories, or any other non-food item, you are welcome to return it within 30 days of receiving your order. The item must be unused and in its original packaging.

To start a return, please contact us first so we can confirm the return address and guide you through the process. Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility in all cases, unless the item arrived faulty or we sent the wrong product.

Once we receive the item and inspect it, we will let you know whether a full or partial refund applies. Refunds are processed only after the returned item has been received and checked at our end. We aim to turn this around as quickly as possible.

Dry and Packaged Food

For dry and packaged food such as flour, rice, spices, oils, canned goods, and similar shelf-stable products, returns are accepted provided the item is still in its original sealed packaging and has not been opened. If you ordered the wrong thing or changed your mind, just get in touch and we will let you know how to send it back.

As with all returns, the cost of sending the item back to us is the buyer’s responsibility. Once we receive the item and confirm it is in its original sealed condition, we will process your refund. Depending on the condition of the item when it arrives, we will offer either a full or partial refund.

If you receive a dry food item that is damaged, past its best-before date, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 10 days of delivery and we will sort it out for you.

Fresh and Frozen Items

Due to the perishable nature of fresh and frozen products, we are unable to accept returns once an order has been delivered. We take great care packing and dispatching these items to make sure they arrive in the best possible condition.

The only exception is if we sent you the wrong item. If that happens, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order with a photo of what arrived, and we will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as we can. You will not need to return perishable items in this case.
